米テキサス州ベルトン出身のへヴィロック・バンドのデビューアルバム。
紅一点ヴォーカリスト，Lacey Mosleyをメインにした編成から，
てっきりEVANESCENCE系のゴシック・へヴィロックかと思いきや，
歌い方はBJORKに似ていて，もっとエキセントリックな感じ。
（AVRIL LAVIGNEにもちょっと似ている）
楽曲も単なるへヴィロックの枠内に収まらず，
伸び伸びと自由に羽ばたいていて実に個性的だ。
KORNの前座に起用されたというエピソードも十分納得がいく。
今秋，『LOUD PARK '06』で初来日を果たすが，
日本でどれくらい受け入れられるか見物（みもの）である。

女性ヴォーカルを擁したヘヴィ･ロック･バンド。ただ、エヴァネッセンスのようなゴシック色は薄く、オルタナや英国のギター・ポップ＆ロックあたりの影響が強いようだ。

ビデオ･クリップにもなった1のイントロでの儚げなパートから絶叫するあたりのヴォーカルのインパクトが強烈だ。エキセントリックなスタイルだが、比較するとすれば、THE USEDにアプローチが似ている。あちらは男性ヴォーカルだけど。

楽器隊もソロ･パートはないが、サウンド的にいろいろな事をしている。このあたりはプロデューサーの指示かも知れない。

曲はコンパクトにまとまっているので、聴きやすいと言えば聴きやすいが、アルバム通してテンションが維持されていないかな、という印象が無きにしも非ず。

女性ボーカルのラウド系ってだけで興味を持ち、まったく聴いた事も無いのに購入してしまった。エヴァネッセンスが大好きなので、そんな感じの音かもって期待もあった。さっそく聴いてみると…、静かなベースと囁くようなボーカルから始まり次の瞬間、女とは思えぬ絶叫と激しいギターリフ!この出だしの数秒でやられてしまった!かっちょい〜。いきなりのアルバムのハイライトです。こんな感じのラウドな曲が続くのかと思いきやメロウあり、ポップありと何でもあり。ただ曲のクオリティーが高くボーカルもいい声なので最後まで飽きさせません。エヴァとはまったく違う音です。個人的には最近のコーンぽいかな、あえて言えば。1曲目のインパクトが強すぎで、この路線で攻めて欲しかったとも思いますがそれにしても新人とは思えない完成度です。
