通算4枚目となる今作品は、モンパチの得意とするエモーショナルなスピード感あるれるナンバーから、レゲエ、バラード、トラディッショナル・・・さまざまなテイスが盛り込まれたバラエティ豊かな内容。さらにGtのタカシが13曲中5曲を手がけ、メインボーカルをとるなど、これまでのモンパチとは一味違う新たなる魅力が開花!! これまでモンパチが培ってきた、音楽に対する振り幅の広さを無理なく自然体で表現した、まさに等身大のリアルMONGOL800快心の1枚です!!!

【アーティストについて】
MONGOL800・・・・上江洌 清作(Ba&Vo)・儀間 崇(Gt&Vo)・高里 悟(Dr&Vo)沖縄県出身・在住。1998年夏、高校在学中に現在のメンバーにより結成。1999年12月にファーストアルバム『GO ON AS YOU ARE』を沖縄県内のみリリース。県内外からの反響が大きく、2000年4月、同タイトルを全国発売。生まれ育ち現在も生活の拠点である沖縄から発する自然体の言葉、平和を願うメッセージが多くの人の共感を呼び起こし、これまで発表したアルバム3枚、シングル1枚はいずれもロングセールスを記録。2004年には、3rdアルバム「百々」を携え初の全国47都道府県ツアー63本を敢行。ツアーファイナルは地元沖縄にて、野外フリーライブで2万人を動員。独自なスタイルでマイペースな活動を展開しているが、この夏いよいよ前作『百々』以来およそ2年半ぶりとなるニューアルバムをリリース!!そして8月より待望の全国ツアーがスタートする。

1stで聞かせてくれた底抜けの明るさ、2ndで示したﾒｯｾｰｼﾞ、3rdでじわりと聞かせてくれた優しさと悲哀、今回のアルバムではボーカルとコーラスでｳﾞｧﾘｴｰｼｮﾝを広げ、ﾓﾝﾊﾟﾁﾜｰﾙﾄﾞがﾒﾝﾊﾞｰ一人一人の個性の集合であることを教えてくれる。「スコール」、こんなロックバラードは久しぶり！「地球図鑑」で歌われるオジーの昔話、聞いてみたい。「Baby Monster」で暴れまくる赤ちゃんに振り回されても優しさを失わない大人でありたい。激しく、ゆるーく、優しく、ほろ苦く、ﾓﾝﾊﾟﾁで取り戻す元気をあなたにも分けてあげたい。

サウンド処理の関係だと思うんだけど、前3作よりも穏やかでのんびりした感じのアルバムだなあと思いました。
今作は曲調が多彩です。これまでと違った感じの曲もあります。
でも、「モンパチらしさ」みたいなのはしっかり感じさせてくれます。夏らしいアルバム。

前作『百々』の発売から約２年半待ち、ついにリリースされたモンパチことMONGOL800の最新アルバム。
モンパチ好きな僕は、ウキウキしながら買って聴きました。
正直、聞き始めると「あれ？　これモンパチか？」と思いましたが、
他のレビューさんも言うように、聴けば聴くほどモンパチらしい作品に聴こえてきます。

本人たちのインタビューで、
「今回はちゃんと3ピースのバンドになってるというか、これが普通のバンドなんだろうな」と言うように
今までのモンパチと違う一面を見せているので、最初聴いたときに不思議な感じを受けてしまったのでしょうね。

個人的に好きな曲は、愛する切なさがダイレクトに伝わってきた「スコール」です。
「Baby Monster」や「face to face 」はモンパチらしいノリでファンを裏切らないサウンドになっていると思います。

噛めば噛むほど味が出るモンパチサウンドを堪能してみてはいかがでしょうか？
