まず、商品の箱もパーツも大きいです。
パーツの組み合わせで、多種多様なタイプの２足、４足歩行型のロボットを作成が出来るのが最大の特徴です。ただ、ほとんどの方がご想像されるような「足を上げて歩行する。」のではなく、「足の裏側に付いているローラーを使ってすり足で歩行する。」というタイプの物に近く、もっと高度なものを要求される方には物足りないかもしれませんが、２足歩行、多足歩行ロボットキットの入門の入門用と割り切れれば、結構教育的価値、ロボット作成の際の発想の自由度を高める教育用素材として、悪くない物だと思います。対象年齢が８歳以上と書かれていますが、上記の点で考えれば、大人でも十分楽しめると思います。
また、タイトルにも書きましたが、パーツ自体が大きいので、お子様がよくやってしまうような誤飲などは、一部のパーツを除いて、過剰に心配しなくてもいいと思います。
問題を挙げれば、動力部も含めて、各パーツの所々の作りが少々荒っぽいところです。技術がある人は、パーツチェックして、サンドペーパーなどでやすりがけしたり、自己責任の上で解体して、グリスを塗ったりすると、さらにスムーズに動くと思います。ただ、「解体」に関しては、自分はうまくいきましたが、「自己責任」でお願いします。もし何かあっても、自分は一切責任が取れませんので。
