私は怖いのがめちゃくちゃ苦手で、さらにアクションゲームもあまりやったことがなかったので、今までこの手のゲームは避けてきたのですが、雑誌などで少し見ていたので気になり最近プレイしてみました。やっぱり最初はめちゃくちゃ怖いので恐る恐るやっていたのですが、ある程度操作に慣れてきてコツがつかめてくると案外おもしろくて今では結構夢中でやっています。
このゲームは私としてはサバイバルホラーではなくて、いろいろなアクションで様々な障壁を切り抜けていく爽快感溢れるアクションゲームという感じがして、そこら辺がすごく楽しいと感じました。さらに、随所にギャグもあり…。(武器商人を撃つとうぉぉぉ………といってパタリと。あれには思わず笑った。)
バイオハザードじゃないと反論するバイオファンの方も多いですが、私は素直におもしろいと思いました。ホラーが苦手な方も、もし気が向いたらプレイしてみてみてください。ホラー入門としては怖さ等も含めて丁度いいかも知れません。
ただ、やはりアクションゲームには慣れていないのでそっちはけっこう苦労していますが…。

最近買いました。（ゲームキューブ版しかないと思っていたので）
いままでと違いガンシューティングのようになっていますが、へたなFPSよりもずっと面白い。

・敵との戦いのアクション性が上がった
・インクリボンなしでセーブ可能。いくらでもセーブできます。
・プレイのやり直しが手軽になった。死んでもコンティニューポイントから。
・体力の量がゲージで表示されるようになった
・体力の最大値を上げることが可能になった
・毒の概念がなくなった
・画面の視点が操作キャラクターの背後からの視点
・アクションボタンによって多彩な移動ができるようになった
・弾を打ち込む位置を狙うことが可能(レーザーポインターorスコープ)
・武器を構えた時、敵がいる方向を自動的に向く機能がなくなった
・ステータス画面で「組み合せ」で弾丸のリロードができなくなった。
・アイテムを収納するアタッシュケースが導入された(キーアイテム、宝は無限に持つことができる)
・アイテムのサイズがこまかく分類された
・お金で武器を買う
・ほとんどの敵が、倒すとアイテムを落とす
