日本有数のプログレ・ハード・ロック・バンド、コスモス・ファクトリーの４作目。プログレ色が薄れて個人的には残念だが、ソリッドなハード・ロックという感じで万人向け、聴き易くなったのは事実です。初のCD化ということで入門用に最適です。出来たら「ブラック・ホール」等３作目までのアルバムもCD再発して欲しいです。

　コスモス・ファクトリーは、日本にロックシーンらしきものができたころの優良バンドの一つである。四人囃子やクリエイションに比べると知名度が低く、頭脳警察やサンハウスに比べてカリスマ性の評価も低かったが、本作はハード・ロックの名盤である。
　コスモス・ファクトリーは、四人囃子と並んで日本の希少なプログレッシブ・ロック・バンドとしてデビューした。ファーストは、掃除機の音をそのまま録音したりと、作品としてのクオリティーが低かった。しかし、本作では完全に路線変更し、ヘビーなハード・ロックを展開した。ブンブンうなる低音ベースが魅力的である。渋く野太いヴォーカルが、日の沈んだ夜の世界の匂いをまき散らす。「グラス・オブ・ハピネス」など、今聴いても魅力的だ。
　あまり世間に知られていない、埋もれた名作の一つだといえるだろう。
