まずこれが74年にレコーディングされたものだという事に誰もが驚くだろう。
正にヴェルヴェッツとパンクの間を結ぶサウンドのハッキリとした具体例がここにある。

ジョン・ケイルやキム・フォーリーのプロデュースによるこれらの音源は当時リリースされなかった。
その後のモダン・ラヴァーズはメンバーも変わり（ある種突き抜けた）また違ったテイストで世に出る事になる。
そう、このロックンロールは早すぎたのだ。

セックス・ピストルズが参考にした（パクッた？）後も楽しめるし、
ヴェルヴェッツ調の「パブロ・ピカソ」はデヴィッド・ボウイが近作「リアリティ」の中でまた違った形でカヴァーしている。
