この方の経歴をまったく知らず、曲を先に聞いて「いいな」と思って買ったので
あとで詳細を知って驚きましたが…。オリジナルは今となっては若干古さを感じさせる
アレンジでしたが、こっちは奇を衒わないバンドサウンドで充分今風の聴きやすい
仕上がりで。一方でヴォーカルや演奏の音をあえてちょっとだけひずませてるあたり
プロデューサーのオトナな仕事振りを感じさせます。

夏目さんの声はちょっとべたっとしてるんですが、そこがまたよくて、
AMラジオで聞くといかにも日本の夏って気分にさせてくれます。
大ヒット曲のカヴァーとしてはよく出来てると思います。

PVは発売直後にネットの配信で見ましたがあまりにがっかりな出来で、
(セクシーさはないわ曲の解釈になんのプラスにもならないはで)
CDのみのこっちを買って充分だと思います。
