デビューから確実に売り上げを伸ばしているバンド「音速ライン」の2ndアルバム。
前作「風景描写」からはややポップ路線に変更されたが、それでも十分聞き応えのある内容となっている。
しかし、路線が変わったとしても彼等の音楽は「エモーショナル・ハードコア」に違いないのである。
哀愁漂う彼等の楽曲は一度耳にすると頭から離れないある種の中毒性がある。
激しく歪ませたギターと、ベース、ドラム。
そしてなによりもヴォーカルの「声」
これらが混ざり合う事により彼等独特の哀愁の世界を出しているのだと思う。

これを聞くと田舎の道を自転車でかっ飛ばしたくなる、そんなアルバム(笑

今回はPOP調の曲も多くなったが個人的にはファーストアルバムと同じくらい気にいってます（さすがにファーストを超えられなかったけど・・・）しかし全ての曲にワクワク感を与えてくれる・・さすが音速、と感じるだけはあると思いました。ファーストから良い意味での変化を遂げてくれたのでこれからも期待していきたいですね。

リードトラック3分の2の歌詞「welcome to the new world」の通り、
今までとまったく違う音速ラインが詰め込まれている。
まずコトノハ→みずいろの町と重厚で、攻撃的でハードな曲が続き、一気に引き込まれる。
その一方でストリングスをうまく取り入れた曲もあり、
週末旅行のように、今までの音速ラインにないほどポップでキャッチーな曲も増えた。
とにかく今までの音速ラインから一皮剥け、冒険的になったという印象が強い。
音速ラインを最近知った人も、前からのファンもぜひ買うべきだと思う。

ただ、そろそろアルバムに再録曲を入れるのはやめてほしい・・・
夕凪の橋は頭のサビも削られ、全体的にハードロック調になって残念だった。以前の哀愁感が少し失われてしまっている
そこらへんを差し引いて★4つ、ってところです。
