　1983年にリリースされた作品、本作と次作はこれまでの目玉だった超絶技巧軍団による超絶演奏が控えめで、代わりにコンピューターによってプログラミングされた作品が目立つようになっている。本作では「エニグマティックオーシャン」でダリルスチューマーとともに超絶ギター演奏を見せたアランホールズワースが２曲（５曲目と７曲目）で参加している。５曲目の方はイーグルスの「のろわれた夜」のイントロのようなリフレインをバックにあの荒涼としたギターが曲に暗い彩を与えている。７曲目ではジャンのバイオリンとアランのギターの応酬が楽しい曲、
　この２曲が目玉として宣伝されることが多いが、個人的なベストトラックは１曲目の「コンピューターによる世界平和のおまじない」で、プログラミングされたシンセサイザーサウンドにバイオリンが重なるだけの曲で、ドラムレス、ギターレスの曲なのだが、ものすごく緻密な計算の上に成り立つ曲で、いちどはまったら抜け出せなくなるほどやみつきになる曲だと思う。女の子との夜のドライブでBGMに使ったのだが、「同じことの繰り返しでつまらない」と言われたことを思い出したが、この曲はぜひヘッドホーンで聴いてほしい。聞き手が飽きないような配慮が随所に施されており、一見相性が合わなそうなバイオリンも見事に曲の中に調和していることに気がつくはずだ。この曲を完成させた時のジャンの喜びは相当なものだったに違いない。この曲のスタイルは次作「オープンマインド」のタイトル曲で再演されている。ただ単に、バイオリンが上手いだけではなく、誰も踏み込んでいないテクノロジーの世界に敢えて挑戦する姿勢が、マンネリにならずにここまで生き残ってきた秘訣だったように思う。

なんと言っても一曲目。当時テクノ少年だった私がこの曲がFMから流れてきた時のショックは今でも忘れられません。先日、ふとしたきっかけでCDを手に入れました。
お薦めです。(=ﾟωﾟ)ﾉ

９８３年リリースの超絶技巧ヴァイオリニスト・ジャンリュックポンティが、ほとんど全曲でシンセサイザーを手がけているアルバム・・・ほとんど一人で制作したアルバムです！！内容は耳に心地よい（ジャズロック色のある）フュージョンサウンドです・・・この人のアルバムは本当聴いていて気持ちいい！！あまり知られていませんが、実はこのアルバムの５曲目・７曲目にアランホールズワースが参加しています・・・僕個人このアルバムを買った理由でもあります。彼らしいギターソロがフューチャーされています・・・特に７曲目でのソロはなかなかいいですし、曲もいい！！他にランディジャクソン（Ｂ）・レイフォードグリフィン（Ｄｒ）がリズムセクション、３曲目でジョージデュークがミニムーグソロを!披!露しています。ジャンファンは勿論ですが、アランホールズワースファンは入手しておくべきアルバム！！
