バテンカイトスシリーズ、テイルズシリーズ、スターオーシャンシリーズの音楽も手がける桜庭氏作曲の音楽です。

スターオーシャン3のCD(Vol.1)と同じように重低音と、少し悲しさのある旋律が印象の残ります。

全体的にヴァルキリープロファイルの暗いイメージに沿った曲作りを心掛けているという印象を受けます。

低音がズンズンと頭に響く感じですが、個人的には、ヴァイオリン、ハープ、ホルンなど、

もう少し高音を取り入れたほうが美しい音色に仕上がったのではないかと思います。

トライエース作品の音楽はよく分割売りにされ、全CDを集めると1万円を超すこともあります。

もっとコスト面に配慮してリーズナブルな値段で提供されることを期待します。

ヴァルキリープロファイル２―シルメリア―のサントラです。
ストーリー後半から隠しダンジョンの曲を収録。

Vol.1に比べるとこちらの方がいい曲が多いですね。
戦闘音楽で言えばラスボス戦とかもカッコいいですし、ユグドラシル頂上のイベント音楽は何度も聴いてしまいます。
ゲームのネタバレになってしまうので多くは語れませんが、オーケストラを使った壮大な曲風は即効性は無いもののかなりズシリとこちらのツボを抑えてきます。
個人的にはThe incarnation of devilも入れて欲しかった。とはいえ、1にも入ってますが……

サントラはVol.1と同様に2枚組でした。
・Disc1はオープニングムービーの曲「歪みし因果律の胎動」、アーリィとの戦闘曲「多重化する背反」からはじまり、ゲーム中のユグドラシルまでの曲がはいっていました。
・Disc2はラストダンジョンの曲からエンディング・セラフィックゲートの曲が入っていました。

私の印象では、重要なイベントに使われていた曲がVol.1より多くはいっていたと思われます。
あと発売前のPVで使われていた曲のほとんどが入っていて、うれしかったです。

いまいち理解できないのが、
ヴァルキリープロファイル2 Vol.1 ALICIA side
ヴァルキリープロファイル2 Vol.1 SILMERIA side
とわかれているようですが、どういう意味があるのかわかりません。
