【アーティストについて】
ノルウェーの国民的英雄"WIG WAM(ウィグ・ワム)"は、グラム(Vo)、ティーニー(g)、フラッシュ(b)、スポーティー(Dr)の4人により2001年に誕生。2004年にデビュー・アルバム「667・・・THE NEIGHBOUR OF THE BEAST」(のちに「HARD TO BE A ROCK'N'ROLLER」として再発売)をリリースしたところから怒涛の快進撃を開始。2005年の「ユーロヴィジョン」予選で優勝すると、その世界大会では名曲「IN MY DREAMS」の圧倒的なパフォーマンスで、中継された40カ国1億人の目撃者を完全洗脳し各国のチャートを席巻。ライブDVDでもゴールド・ディスクを獲得した彼らは、幼稚園児からお年寄りまでをも巻き込む社会現象的大ブレイクで本国ノルウェーを大混乱に落とし入れた。

他の方も書かれている様に、外見で判断してはいけません(笑)
メンバーの実力は申し分無いですし、曲も捨て曲無しの内容です。普段、HR/HMを聴かない人でも問題無く聴けるんじゃないでしょうか。キャッチーで、アリーナの様な場所にピッタリなスケールの大きいサウンドは、BON JOVIやMOTLEY CRUEが好きな人にはぜひ聴いてもらいたいです。

面白半分で買ってみました。あまり期待はしてませんでしたが、去年のCRASHDIETのようなこともあるし…と。
そしたら80年代直撃のメロディ、たぶん一番影響を受けてるのはBONJOVIだと思うけど、FAIR WARNINGのようなバラードもあり、クセになりそうです。簡単に表現すると、少しL.A.風にしたBONJOVI。各曲の完成度は非常に高く、思わず「そう、そう」と言いたくなるメロディラインは特筆です。

私の今年度ベスト3（1でもいいかも）ぐらいのCDです。
ジャケット見てしまうとひきますが、非常に聴きやすいロッケンロー↑って感じですかね。
ドロドロしてたり、2バスがドコドコといったCDでは無いです。
何が一番良いって、本当にキャッチーなんですよ。
5歳の我が子が口ずさむぐらい、耳に残るメロディーです。
この中に「AT THE END OF THE DAY」というバラードがあるのですが、
めちゃめちゃ良いです！
バラードが少ないので、この曲が目立ってしまう感はありますが、
しっとりと歌い上げるグラムの歌唱力の高さを再認識させられます。
私は「HARD TO BE A〜」のCDも持っていますが、
解り易いエンターテイメントという点では、そちらに軍配があがると思います。
が、一つのアルバムの流れ等を考えるとこちらの方が上ですね。
実際するめ度合いも高いです。
とはいっても両方良いので、両方買ってね。
