現在は中国領の高句麗の遺跡を、南北の選抜された大学生が共同で発掘するうちに、
南のイケメンと、北の気が強い美女が恋に落ちるという話。
終盤、必要以上に劇的な展開とし、国防委員長まで登場して結末を迎える。

ラブコメだから笑って済まされるのだろうか。
本作を鑑賞し、今の韓国の反日反米、親北親中国路線が如何に深刻であるか思いを馳せてしまい、
やや暗澹たる気持ちになった。

遺跡に閉じこめられたふたりの喧嘩シーンなど、長回しのカットが多用され、
若い主演のふたりは大変だっただろうと思う。
チョ・インソンは頑張ったが、たまには激昂しない彼も観てみたい。
キム・サランさんは評判通りのグラマーだった。
そうそう、オープニングでハングルが登場せず、漢字で役者や監督の名前が紹介される韓国映画は数十年無かっただろう。
良くも悪くも韓国映画らしく、折角のDVDでも画質は悪い。

興行的には失敗したらしいチョ・インソンｓｓｉ主演のラブコメですが
一人の女性を愛しぬく役が多い彼にはめずらしく前半部分はかなり軟派な男を演じているので貴重かもしれません。終盤に近づくにつれて彼独特の激情タイプになっていきますが（＾＾；）その変化の過程のスピードが速すぎるので、もう少し細かい心理描写があったほうがよいのではと思いました。相手役の女優さんもキレイな方ですが演技力がいまひとつと感じたので星3つにしました。でも「星を射る」「バリ出来」「春の日」のインソンシ〜とはまったく違った演技を見ることができますのでファンの方は必見です♪現実には有り得そうにもないので何も考えず漫画のように見れます。なんといっても、こんな軽めのストーリーでも（実際は重いテーマなのですが・・・）群を抜いたルックスのインソンは超カッコイイです(*^_^*)新作映画「卑劣な通り」の彼とは真逆の役なので比較するのも面白いですネ♪このように以前の作品を見ても一作ごとに役者としてかなり成長していることがよくわかります。

韓国のことわざに「南男北女」というのがあります。南には男らしい男が多く北には美しい女性が多いという意味です。
その意味では、南の遊び人大学生チョルスを演じたチョ・インソン、最初こそ浮気でだらしない男ですが愛する女性のためには何でもやるといういい男を演じます。一方、相手役で北のエリート女子大生オ・ヨンヒを演じたキム・サランは2000年のミスコリアという美貌の持ち主で、まさに「南男北女」を映画にすればこんな形になるのかなーと感じる作品です。
ところが日本では「ラブ・インポッシブル」と改題され、いったい何のことか焦点がぼけて、単なるラブコメになってしまいました。改題するのならば原題の持つ意味をしっかりと分析してからにして欲しかったです。
でも、いい男といい女が主人公ですから、深く考えなければ気持ちよく楽しめます。
いがみあう南北関係を両家の対立という図式で考えれば朝鮮半島版のロミオとジュリエットともいえる作品だと思います。
