アコースティックギターと電子音に生ピアノ。ドリーミーで夢心地なアンビエント・トロニカ

ひたすらゆったりとした展開で落ち着きのあるサウンド構成。
透明なアコースティックギターに絶妙に絡んだシンセ・ドローン。
幻想的でシネマティックなサウンドスケープ

ほんとに美しいです。
前半でじんわり泣き
後半で心地よく癒され
終盤にはいつのまにか寝てしまう。
聞いているととても素敵で安らかな時間が過ぎていきます。

エレクトロニカ、アンビエント。この言葉に反応する人には間違いなくオススメ。

　goldmund名義でも知られるkeith kennifによるhelios名義での2nd full album。
　リリースは11枚目。

　父親から兄弟共に音楽を習い、ボストンで音楽学校に通いつつや映画を学び、様々なジャンルのbandで演奏をこなしてきたという、音楽家として生まれるべくして生まれた天才keith kennif。
　今作においてslow down/acoustic/electronica/ambientといったジャンルに絞っての制作ですが、今までの経験によるセンスが音から溢れ出ています。

　調性のとれたguitarのアルペジオや美しいpianoが、シンセサイザーによるレイヤーと ambientなリズムを基盤に鳴っていて、無声音楽ながら非常にエモい。
　その感情はセンチメンタルやメランコリーといった言葉で捉えられ、そういった言葉を象徴するような情景や記憶を頭の中に思い描かずにはいられないです。

　これは絶対必聴の名盤です!

アコギ、ピアノ、電子音、鳥の鳴き声、これらの素材を用いて現代のフォークと言える様なエレクトロニカを作るアーティストは多々いるが素材が限定されるだけにアーティストの音楽センスがとても重要。
このアルバムは美しいが、オンリーワンの音世界には達していないと感じる。
