　オリバー・ストーン監督の作品は、中だるみする作品が多く、観ていて時間が長く感じられることが多いが、この作品だけは例外で、ジャック・レモン、ジョン・キャンディ、ウォルター・マッソー、ドナルド・サザーランド、ジョー・ペシ、ケビン・ベーコン、トミー・リー・ジョーンズ、シシー・スペイク、ゲイリー・オールドマンなど一流の俳優たちが次から次へと登場し、彼らの演技合戦を観てるだけでもあきません。
　ただし原作のジム・ギャリソンの仮説にこだわりすぎているように思います。もう少し、クレー・ショーの背後関係を描いて欲しかった。事件の国家的な陰謀をドナルド・サザーランド扮するＸに説明させすぎている感じで、もし彼がいなかったらギャリソンvsクレー・ショーだけのスケールの小さな戦いになってしまいます。原作を土台にして、映画制作時に判った新事実や、他の陰謀説も交えてオリバー・ストーン独自の説を展開しても良かったのではないでしょうか。
　ＪＦＫ暗殺についてはバート・ランカスターヤロバート・ライアンが出演していた「ダラスの熱い日」という作品もあり、大作ではありませんがこちらの方がおもしろいと思います。（ＤＶＤ化希望）

　JFK暗殺の真相に果敢に挑んだ一地方検事ジム･ギャリソンをケビン･コスナーが熱演している。国家権力の影、証人の相次ぐ死、家族の不安、部下の反発など幾多の苦難を経ての終盤の法廷での訴えのシーンはまさに圧巻だった。胸にぐっと来る言葉の連続。そこから監督のアメリカという自国を見つめる真摯な眼差しがひしひしと伝わってきた。
　3時間以上と長尺でなかなか気合がいるが、是非ともたくさんの人がみるべき作品だと感じた。暗殺自体もう40年以上前の事件。未だに嘘の情報をでっちあげてまで戦争をせずにはいられない大国。
　今一度ジム・ギャリソン、オリバーストーンの真摯な眼差しに耳を傾けてみるべきではないかと思わされた。

三時間ある映画を始めて短く感じた映画でした。
この映画でオリバーストーンは実際に犯人を指している、それほど深く、アメリカという国を掘り下げた映画です。この国では、一体誰が力を持っているのか、大統領を殺せるだけの力を誰が…！？答えを知る時は恐怖ですね。あの最後の法廷でのシーンは圧巻です！話の筋はみなさんご存知だと思いますが、ぜひ見てもらいたい、本当の悪が一体誰なのか！？答えがこの映画にあるような気がします。
