何とも他と比較しようがない、あがた森魚のロックとしか言いようがない不思議なポップ・ソングです。
熱狂的ファンでなければ、このベスト盤で十分だと思います。
私は、“さらば青春のハイウェイ”が聴きたくなって買いましたが、やっぱり涙が出るほど良かったです。

最近あがた森魚さんを知っていろいろ聴いてるんですが、ヴァージンＶＳはオリジナルアルバムが入手困難で（オークションでも高値がついて）『20世紀漂流記/あがた森魚ベスト』で聴ける「百合コレクション」しか知りませんでした。８０年代初頭はこんな感じだったんですね。ニューウエーブやテクノポップ寄りのサウンドですが、相変わらずのあがたワールドです。ビジュアルも写真で見る限りではニューウェーブっぽい感じでこの当時の映像も見てみたいですね。

過去の作品を全部持っていれば改めて買う必要はないが、初めて聴く人にはこれしかない。選曲や曲順にはそれぞれこうしたらよかったのにという思いがあると思うが、この曲数でこの価格ならお得だと思います。
