美しい日本語の再評価が近年のﾄﾚﾝﾄﾞだとすれば、
かかる企画も的を外しようがない気がするが、不思議と
あまりここまで徹底してやられなかったし例が少なくて新鮮でもある。
持ち味であるその柔らかな声でSIMPLEな伴奏に載せられる歌詞が
しっとりと心に馴染んで来る。梅雨空がなかなか晴れない今日この頃、
少し緊張を緩めて耳を傾けてみて貰いたい。
来るべき美しい夏の訪れやその喧騒が過ぎ去った後の秋の日を想い
ｲﾒｰｼﾞの飛翔を楽しんで頂けると思う。

村上ゆきの作品は、デビューアルバム『Both Sides Now~青春の光と影』、第２作『While my piano gently weeps』と聴いてきましたから彼女の歌の素晴らしさは十分理解していたのですが、これもいいですね。

疲れた心は美しい日本語の歌で癒してほしい、という願いを叶えてくれた企画のアルバムだと思いました。若い世代の方にとって初めて耳にされる曲も多いのでは、という選曲ですが、このような懐かしい曲ですが、すでに忘れさられていった曲を選んだということにまず拍手を送りたいと思いました。

最初の「テネシー・ワルツ」から個性溢れる村上ゆきの世界が繰り広げられていく感じを受けました。「豊かな感性が感じられる」という言葉しか浮かびませんが、日本語の持つ美しさをよく受け取り、感じ取りながら自分の思い描いた世界として再現する、というイメージでしょうね。

１９４７年発表の三木鶏郎作詞・作曲の「ゆらりろの唄」がいいですね。戦後の混乱期にこんなにも、たおやかで詩情あふれる唄が存在していたことにまず驚きました。少しポルタメントがかった村上ゆきによる弾き語りの歌唱が原曲の持ち味を活かしていますね。

１９４８年のヒット曲で平野 愛子が歌った「港が見える丘」をこのようなアンニュイな香りを振り撒きながら平成の世に復活させたのに感謝したいですね。
温故知新ではありませんが、この日本の浪漫ともいえる雰囲気はこのＣＤに収録されている桑田佳祐の「花咲く旅路」、荒井由実の「花紀行」」の世界へと続いていったのは間違いないでしょう。そう言う意味でもこのアルバムでそれらを聞き比べできるのはとても嬉しいですね。

アルバムタイトルとなった「夢で逢いましょう」や、矢野顕子の「自転車でおいで」など何回も聴きたくなる曲が目白押しでした。村上ゆきのアルバムの中では異色ですが、これは多くの人に聴いて欲しいものだと思います。
