母の介護で自分の楽しみを後回しにし、恋愛にも臆病になっている女性。
婚約者への愛情を、束縛という形でしか表現できない男性。
幼い頃母親から受けた愛情を、間違った形で再確認しようとする男性・・・
それをあざ笑うかのように、そして残酷なほどに、街は幸せなクリスマス。
みんな何か問題や孤独感を持ちつつも、どうやって解決していいのかわからずにいる。
それが、ちょっとした人の、ちょとした言動で、氷が溶けていくように希望の光が差し込む。
この過程を静かに追ったストーリーには、派手な演出や劇的な展開はない。
けれども、人物らと同じように胸が苦しくなり､そしてほっとする。
誰かに優しくしたい､優しくされたい｡幸せはお金じゃない。特別な演出もいらない。
見終わった時、きっとそう思うだろう。

見おわった後自分も誰かの役になっているのかなぁって考えてしまいました。誰かの運命を幸せにしてあげられたらステキですよね。ほんの少し殻をやぶったら、新しい何かが見えてくる。変わりたい…前向きに行きたい…そんな気持ちを後押ししてくれる映画です。

クリスマスシーズンに観るにはもってこいの
ハートウォーミングな映画。

様々な登場人物にそれぞれのドラマがあり、
それが同じ街、同じ病院で起きていて
小さく関わりあっている形式の映画。

ペネロペ=クルスやスーザン=サランドンなど有名どころが並ぶ中
ロビン=ウィリアムスが出てきた時点で、俄然ファンタジー色が濃くなる。
今までの役柄のせいか。

大なり小なり悩みを抱えている人物たちが、
クリスマスという特別な時期にそれぞれに幸せを見つけていく。
登場人物の中には非常にツライ出来事や経験をしている者もいるが
重過ぎない演技で、むしろ希望が感じられる見やすい映画になっている。
