今回のテーマは「夏」
ラテンやボッサありのズバリ「夏」を感じさせますが、
残念なことにそれにこだわりすぎているせいか、聴くにしたがって
だんだん退屈になってきます。
さわやかすぎるので、もっと暑苦しいアレンジがあってもよかった？
前作で「SUMMERTIME」をFRIEDPRIEDのプロデュースでやってたけど
今回こういう感じのが１曲でも入っていてもよかったのでは？
選曲がマニアックすぎるから、各プロデューサーのコメントにある
「難しい曲をよくぞここまで！」と言われたとしてもよくわからない。
とてもがんばってるhiroに個性的なアレンジャーやプロデューサーに
とても期待してた分、「辛口評価」にしました。
次回あるなら期待してます。

前作はpop歌手がどのようにjazzをこなすのか？とくに年齢的に若いので興味深々でした。
hiroの特徴のある（美しいといっても良いのでは）声が面白いjazzを聞かせてくれました。
今回はそれがどう変化したか期待したんですが、方向が多少ずれてたようでした。
でも何曲かの歌は美しい声で流暢に歌っていて楽しめました。
まだ発展途上なカンジなので、３作目がもっと面白いのではないかと期待してしまいます。

宣伝の「夏を感じる」アルバム、というのはどうかと思うが、前作を上回る傑作だと思う。各曲の仕上がりにやや差があるのが難だが、誰でも知ってる名曲（6.10.）のカバーが素晴らしい。6.Just The Two Of Usの心地よさはもう脳味噌溶けちゃいそう。10.Killing Me Softly With His Songがまた素晴らしい。原曲の心に深く沁みる歌詞に、hiroの若くて甘く鼻にかかるヴォーカル、軽快なサンバにJazzyなピアノ。有名なRoberta Flackの原曲を超えた､と言って過言ではない。歌詞の意味を吟味把握してから聞くとまたひとしおです。どちらかというとSPEEDに興味なかった今40-50代くらいの音楽好きにお勧め。
