グラフィック、音楽等は完成度が高いので、一見して面白そうにみえます。実際にプレイしてみると、ロードが長い、説明不足のまま唐突にゲームスタート等、あまりにゲームとしての完成度が低いと感じます。

これが次世代機かと疑う程に長くかつ度々発生するロード待ちや、アクトステージ／タウンステージ問わず発生する処理落ちはとにかく無闇に加速する主人公と相まって最悪な操作性を生んでいます。特にアクトステージでの処理落ちは、処理落ちが切れた時にレバーを戻すのがわずかに遅れてミスとなったりする事も度々で非常にイライラさせられます。

また建物や障害物に挟まったまま攻撃を繰り返し受けたり、ポリゴンの隙間におちて真っ暗な画面をひたすら落下したり、ソニックが変な挙動をしたりと、ちゃんと完成しているのだろうかと疑いたくなる瞬間もわずか２、３時間程度のプレイで度々ありました。

何かのイベントでロード、ミニゲームでロード、ミニゲームの説明(説明というか「がんばれ」というメッセージだけ）でロード、失敗でロード、リトライにロード、本当に酷いロード回数と時間で、とても２度プレイする気になれません。難易度が高い方なので、ミスして「ゲームオーバー」の表示すらなく唐突にセレクト画面に戻され、また長いロードを待ってプレイする…、非常にストレスになります。またスピード感が大切なアクトステージの途中でロード待ち等はゲームの流れを壊してしまっています。

ソニックシリーズのファンというならいざしらず、とても初心者や初めてソニックをプレイするという方にはお勧めできません。いまPS３でプレイするゲームが少ないので、ソニックを選んでみる…という感覚で購入すると後悔する結果になる可能性大ですので注意してください。

数少ないＰＳ３ソフトなので楽しみにしてて発売日に買ったのですが
なんだか肌に合いませんでした。
なんかソニックが勝手に画面をつーーーっと高速で進んでいくので
こちらはタイミングをみはからってボタンを押してあげるだけ、
って場面がよくあって、キャラを操ってるんだか、こっちが操られてるんだか
訳わかんなくなって、楽しくなかったです。
難易度も高めで２人目のキャラで死んでからは、もうやり直す気にはなれませんでした。
なにしろ場面切り替えのロードが徹底的に長い。。。
申し訳ないけど個人的には「くそげー」認定です。

つまり、「超音速リミッター解除」とは開発側の未完成なのに無理やり完成させたスピードの事だったのです。
