72年作。イタリアのピーター・ハミルと称されることもある、孤高のソロシンガー。狂気と紙一重の崇高さ・神秘性を放つカリスマ。この1stはプログレ色が強い。美しいが、時にヒステリックに奇声をあげ苦悶の表情を浮かべる異常な歌唱。陰鬱で病的なボーカルを中心に、サイケ、トラッド、ジャズ、クラシックが入り乱れ、暗く燃え上がる。バイオリンもカッコイイ。
「Aria」は19分以上の大作。幽玄の世界から何度となく、狂気渦巻くコワレた高みへと高揚。ボーカルは美しく切ない表情、邪悪で歪んだ笑みを浮かべる表情、どこか官能的な歓喜・恍惚の表情、内省的な苦悩の表情などの間をフラフラ行き交うが、必ず徐々に異様さを強めていき、憑かれたような歌唱、奇怪に声を震わせ、ねじれ、暴走する。クラシカルなピアノ・バイオリンなども華麗ながらもヒステリックに乱れ、ボーカルの暴走を煽る。青白い亡霊が浮遊し、悪魔が奇声をあげ飛び交うような空気感。ほの暗く耽美、アヴァンギャルド、カオスの世界。「VORREI INCONTRARTI」は繊細なアコギに乗せて優しく歌う。ボーカルは独特だが、本作の中では比較的ノーマルな雰囲気の曲。「LA MIA MENTE」は美しく情緒不安定なボーカルが、格調高くもアヴァンギャルドに乱れるピアノとともに荒々しく異様な歌唱へと変わっていく。ボーカルが狂い叫び、サックス・バイオリンがねじれ軋む終幕はかなりアブナイ。VDGGからの影響を特に感じさせる曲。「UN FIUME TRANQUILLO」はクラシカルなピアノが流れ出し、ボーカルも優雅。メロディアスに絡んでくるサックスも良い。混沌とした表情も見せつつも、全体的にはしっかり前へ歩む力強さを感じる。最後はオルガンと不気味な奇声が迫るホラーな展開へ。
