佐野元春のエピック在籍時に残した全ての映像記録。

ＰＶは映像を介して曲のコンセプトやメッセージを伝えるもので、今となっては普通であるが、実は日本では佐野元春が先駆者である。

昔のＰＶは、今見るとかなりチープなものが多いが、時代が80年代ということを考慮して見ると、当時の最先端の技術を駆使して作られているものが多い。（『TONIGHT』の窓に映像をはめ込むところなど）

90年代に入り、『欲望』、そしてそのメイキング映像を使った『レインガール』のＰＶはカメラワークや編集が秀逸で、非常に完成度が高いものになっている。
（『レインガール』では撮影に臨む、陽気でさわやかな、素の佐野元春を見ることが出来る。）

ボーナストラックとして、『SOMEDAY』20th記念映像が収録されているが、こちらも見ごたえがあり、とにかくボリューム満点でお勧めの作品。

全て今の曲として聴こえてくる。映像は「演技もの」はさすがに時代を感じさせてしまうけれど、ライブ形式のは温度がそのまま伝わってくる。年齢を重ねても、シャウトの表情は２０年以上全く変わらないことに感動した。「ヤング・フォーエバー」「だいじょうぶ、と彼女は言った」の映像は、８０年代のファンにこそすすめたい。だいじょうぶ、後悔しないよ。

本当に楽しみにしていたＴＶ放映時の映像が中途半端になってしまっているのが残念でならなかった。
それ以外は何の文句もありません。
が、欲を言えばエルビス・コステロのクリップ集のように一曲ごとに本人のコメンタリーが聴けたりしたらもっと幸せだったかなと。
でも、購入して後悔はしないと思いますよ。
