　ゼノサーガの最後を飾る素晴らしい音楽。本来は６枚くらいになることを選曲して２枚にしたらしいが、個人的には選曲ミスだと感じざるを得ない。オープニングのオルゴールのような曲が無いのは、購入者全員が不満を感じるところではないでしょうか。他にもゆったりとしたピアノの曲が無いのが残念です。
　とは言ったものの、入っている曲自体に欠点はありません。hepaticaとかFebroniaとか大好きです。買って損したとは思ってません。欲を言えばFFみたいにDISC４枚にして選曲にもっとこだわってほしかった、、、メモリーカードケースが入っているところにCD２枚入るじゃん！

音楽の出来栄えで評価するのなら満点をあげたい所、

しかし、幾らなんでもファンを侮りすぎているような作品ですね。
本来ならCD６枚分になる所を、とコメントしてありましたが
普通、サウンドトラックを買う程の熱烈なファンならそれくらいボリュームが
あると逆に嬉しいはずです。

半分以上未使用曲っていうのも良くわからない。

個人的に５点満点中、２点くらいの満足度。

梶浦さんなりにゼノサーガの世界観をふまえて曲を作られたのでしょうし、自分はEP１での光田さんに優るとも劣らない音楽を提供してくれたと思っています。

であるのに、このサントラの仕様はなんとしたことでしょう。
ライナーノーツをみると原作者の高橋さんが曲を１００近く注文したとあります。なのにこのサントラはCD２枚組で合計が４０曲しかありません。
同じくライナーから、音楽プロデューサーのN氏によって
「アルバムとして通して聞いて頂ける集中力」と
「より多くの方にも購入頂ける価格のバランス」を考え
「僕の（N氏の）ワガママで２枚組」となったようです。

梶浦さんにその２枚のディスクに収まるように曲の選択を頼んだともかいてあります。実際に梶浦さんがどう思われたかは解りませんが、アーティストとして作品を発表するのに制限を付けすぎているのではないでしょうか？もしかすると泣く泣く収録を諦めた曲もあったかもしれません。

先にレビューを書いた方も記しておられますが、サントラを買うほどの熱心なファンならば価格が多少上がることになったとしても、より多くの楽曲を聴いてみたいというのが大半ではないでしょうか。
少なくとも「あの曲が入ってないぞ！」という声は聞きますが、「この構成でよかった（プロデューサーの考えに全面的に賛同）」という意見を耳にしたことはありません。
なんて勿体無いことをしてくれたんだと思うばかり。
また初回版にはメモリーカードケースを付けていたらしいですが、それをやるくらいならCDを入れなさいよと言いたいです。
星３つなのは曲の良し悪しではなく、こうあってほしいというファンの気持ちを誤解し、求める構成にしてくれなかったことによるものと考えてください。
