サイバネスティックな世界観が売りの同作品ですが、
音楽はうってかわって、管弦楽を中心とした壮大なアレンジがメイン。
物語の世界観からかスピード感あふれるメジャーな曲の
中にももの悲しさを感じさせる展開がありまさに
「笑いながら悲しい話をされている」ような叙情的で切ない曲群が揃います。
一方で、戦闘がメインとなる現実世界でのBGMは電子楽器を多用したハードな曲調の曲が揃います。

もの悲しい「胡蝶の夢」、明るい「daisy days」「a little MAIHAMA story」
と共通で使われたモチーフをぐっと荘厳な悲しみの曲にした
「散りゆく者」がクライマックスの曲群の先鋒として配置され、
「散りゆく者」と対をなす、「胡蝶の夢」を希望あふれる感動の
フィナーレへと変えた壮大な「光は痛みを超えて」でサウンドトラック部分をしめる曲構成はよく、このCDが過不足無く綺麗に1枚の達成感のある物語としてまとまっています。
この「光は痛みを超えて」、わずか2分半程度なのですが
タイトルが示すとおり「ゼーガペイン（是れ我が痛み）」と「光量子」を作品のモチーフにした
このアニメのフィナーレを飾るにふさわしい、存在感を持っています。
もしもショップなどで視聴するのならば是非、この曲を視聴候補にして検討していただきたいお気に入りの一曲です。

現在放送中のゼーガペインのサントラが早くも発売されました。
OPに流れているキミヘムカウヒカリをはじめ、ゼーガペインの醍醐味のひとつである音楽が盛り込まれています。
このサントラ、アニソンだから、原作しらないから、ってだけで敬遠してる人は、ほんっとうにもったいない!!実にすばらしい。心に残る、のびのびとした、雄大な空、光、未来を思わせる楽曲の数々!大げさじゃないんです。本当に一度聞いてください。私は、MDで外で聞いていましたが、ふと空を見上げたときに、キミヘムカウヒカリのサビに重なり、思わず震え上がりました。ことばでは表現できない。とにかく聞いてほしい。純粋に良い!それだけです。
熱くなってすみません。
機会があれば、ぜひ一度聞いてみてください。

サントラを買おうと思う方は、アニメを観た方がほとんどだと思うので、余計な説明は不要でしょう。
アニメで一曲でも気になるものがあったなら、速買いで間違いありません。

ただし、TVサイズのOP.ED.はやっぱり少し不満が残る・・・ということで星一つ減です。
