弟が、深夜やってた『テキサスチェーンソー』を観て、面白い
といったので、オリジナル『悪魔のいけにえ』リメイク『テキサスチェーンソー』
に、遂に手を出した訳です。

オリジナルに比べると事件の必然性が高くなっていて、
レザーフェイスの背後関係が広く、浅く、判りにくく、
ヒロインのアクション性が強くなっています。
レザーフェイスの人間臭さは残ってますが、独特の愛嬌がない。
更に、舞台は７０年代の割に画面がやたら綺麗で、
気がつくと現代ホラーと錯覚。「あ、携帯がない時代なんだっけ」
あの保安官はいい気味だったけど、ヒロインが頑張っちゃうと
ちょっとハリウッド色が強くなっちゃって微妙この上なし。

ホラー映画として『怖がらす』と言う面では合格点。
しっかり怖がらせてくれます。
あのおもっ苦しさには程遠い…。画面が綺麗過ぎるんだよねー。
あと、レザーフェイス役はオリジナルの方が断然いい。

3.0 out of 5 stars 閉塞された異常な社会と猟奇的殺人鬼から、逃れようのない恐怖を感じる, 2007/3/25
1950年代、実際にアメリカ全土を震撼させたエド・ゲインの猟奇殺人事件をモチーフにしており、
1973年の「悪魔のいけにえ」のリメイク作品である。

「13日の金曜日」もこの事件をモチーフにしていると言われ、
レザーフェイスのマスクにチェーンソーのその異様な姿は、ジェイソンを連想させずにいられない。

冒頭ブレアウィッチプロジェクトのごとく、警察の現場検証のフィルム映像から始まり、
物語に入っていく。

残酷で猟奇的な場面は、あまりに異常で、その激痛を感じる様に身が痛む。
閉塞社会、レザーフェイスの執拗な追跡、逃れようのない恐怖。

彼らは一刻も早く、この街を脱出すべきだった。

　『悪魔のいけにえ』の1/100にも及ばない、全く怖くない作品。1972年なのに、ジェシカ・ビールは、ローライズのジンーズを穿いているし血糊は作り物にしか見えない。
　『マーダーライドショウ』の方が正当なリメイクとかんじますがね。
