■良い点
・SATAケーブル、電源ケーブルが付属しているのでポン付けできる。
・採用しているチップの発熱は少い。
・製品保証付き。
・下記の２つの環境では相性問題は発生しなかった。
　　　マザーボード：GA-MA69GM-S2H
　　　OS：WindowsXP SP2
　　　変換対象HDD：Maxtor 6Y160P0、Seagate ST380021A
　　　SATAモード：IDE、AHCI

　　　マザーボード：M2A-VM HDMI
　　　OS：WindowsXP SP2
　　　変換対象HDD：Maxtor 6Y160P0、Seagate ST380021A
　　　SATAモード：IDE、AHCI

■悪い点
・基盤がむき出しなので金属と接触した場合は危険。

■その他
・古いIDEデバイスを有効活用できる。
・AHCIでOSをインストールする場合はF6ドライバが必要です。
・これと全く同じ物を他社でも販売しているので品質に問題はないと思います。

以前購入したときの物は保証の無い「キワモノ」扱いだったのに、今回購入したものは保証有りの「セレクト」扱いでした。
自分が買った1つ目から2つ目までの間に実績を積んだと言うことでしょうか。

ここの製品写真では判りませんが他の変換アダプタには少ないアクセスランプLED用端子や、CD/DVD向けモード切替ジャンパーも付いててかなり安心して使えます。

先に書いたように2個持ってますがとても便利です。最近のシリアルATAがメインのマザーボードに以前のIDEのHDDなどを接続するのに必須と思います。
次に自分がIDE→SATA変換を行うことが必要になった時もこの製品を買いたいと思います。


※注意：HDDなどのIDE端子にピンがずれた状態でもささる様です。注意して差し込んでください。

電源の分岐ケーブルが同梱で、電源１本を変換基板とHDDに分岐でき、形があうコネクタをさしていくだけで、IDEのHDDをSATAのHDDとして使うことができました。
HDDの後ろに少しスペースが余分に必要ですが、よっぽど小さいケース以外は、問題なく使える大きさのはずです。
ただし、スピードは元のHDDのスピード以上に速くなることは無いようです。
