前作「GET OVER IT」に比べればブルーズ色は減った。
逆にポップ感を取り戻し、またグルーブ感も増している。
キャッチーな「Shine」、バラードの「Arrow」や
「Deep Dark Secret」、ファンキーな「Suffocation」など、
バラエティにも富んでいる。全体的に見れば悪くないだけに、
この路線でもう少しアルバムを出して欲しかったが、
既にバンドの亀裂は修復不可能となっていたようだ。
ビリーが収録を望んでいたというヘビーな曲が入っていない
あたりからもその事実が窺える。結果、この作品が
MR.BIGにとっての最後のオリジナルアルバムとなった。

昔、MR.BIGを聞いて、なんかとっつきにくいなぁ、と思っていましたが
このアルバムは全体的にバランスが取れていて、
とても聞きやすいです。
もし今まで私のように敬遠していた人には是非聞いてほしいです。
個人的にTrack１~３が大好きです。
特に「shine」は本当に名曲だと思います。
演奏もかなり上手いし、声もいい。
これから昔のアルバムも掘り出してみようと思います。

JAZZばっか聴いてきた私が初めてハマッたロックがこのCDです。
若い頃からJAZZにが好きだった私の夢の１つは、イイ歳こいて
からロックを好きになれたらカッコいいなーというものでした。
そこでこのCDです。
とりあえずサフォケイションにハマり、何度も聴いているうちに
次第に中毒になり、気がつくとMR.BIGのCDを10枚以上も買って、

聴いて、ええなーええなーという今日この頃です。ちなみに
私の大好きなJAZZギタリストは渡辺香津美です。関係がなくは
ないでしょ。最新から過去へ遡って聴くのも面白いですよ。
