松田亮治のレパートリーの中でも最もPOPかつ、LIVEで最も人気の高い、ポップ・ソウル・チューン。本人作詞・差曲。
キャロル・キングでお馴染みの名曲「You've got a friend」のカヴァーも収録。

【アーティストについて】
本名:松田亮治(まつだ・りょうじ)
1982年 8月26日生まれ。神奈川県横須賀市出身。A型。
16歳からヴォーカリストとして、複数のバンド で活動を開始。幅広いレパートリーをこなし、様々なバンドから声がかかるが、なかなかやりたい音楽にめぐりあえない。数年間バンド活動を行うなか現在のプロデューサーの目にとまり、自身でも作詞・作曲を始め2004年よりソロとして本格的にデモテープを制作、プロとしての道を掴む。
2005年夏から横浜・伊勢佐木長者町の老舗LIVEハウス「FRIDAY」で月1回レギュラーLIVEを行い、2005年10月19日、東芝EMI内のインディー・レーベルReservotion Recordsより地元横須賀・横浜限定でシングル「夢の中/My Girl」をリリースする。

R&B系のカテゴライズのシンガーだと思って聞いたら、意外にもハイトーンで爽やかな歌声でした。最近は、案外いないタイプのシンガーかもしれません。（苦しくない徳永英明みたいなｗ）
突然の「通り雨」を題材に、軒先で雨宿りする中、偶然じゃない必然の出会いを描いたＰＯＰチューン。イントロや曲中の"ピチョン"と落ちた雫の雨音が印象的！
B「You've got a friend」のカヴァーもエンディングにかけた温かさを感じさせる多重コーラスの壮大さは聴き応えあり！

ライブで何度となく歌われていた曲です。雨と聞くと、重くなりがちですが、この曲は、強い願いや希望がこもった、背中をおしてくれる爽やかな曲です。ぜひ聴いてみてください。byれな

サウンド自体は新鮮さに欠けるが、楽しい気分で聴ける1枚です。
暗くなりがちなR&Bでも、彼のように明るく歌い上げるものがあってもいいのではないだろうか。
2曲目はとくに明るいポップ調のもので、つい口ずさんでしまう。
