御大自身のスタイルは既にこの録音の３０年以上前に出来上がっていているわけで、
その全盛期を通り抜け、富と名声をこれでもか！というほど持ち合わせ、しかも６０代という年齢を考えれば
演奏が円熟を通り越してノンビリし過ぎるのはしょうがないのかもしれない。
といって悪い演奏か？というとそうではない、所々でフューチャーされるGoodmanお気に入りの
サイドマンが聞き所を作っていて目立ち過ぎず引き過ぎず御大を盛り立ててる。
特にZoot Simsが短いソロパートで存在感を示し、Peter Appleyardのヴァイヴが新鮮味を
加えているのは良い。
全体的に上品な感じのライブです。
