このCDについて

マスカットE.P.のデビューから今年10周年を迎えたカジヒデキ2年ぶりのニューアルバム。
プロデューサーに北欧クラブ・シーンの貴公子HIRD(ヒルド)を迎えて制作された、エレポップ感覚が瑞々しいピュアなダンス・ミュージック。
多彩なゲスト・ミュージシャンが多数参加の意欲作です。

【アーティストについて】
89年にブリッジ結成、95年に解散。
96年に「マスカット E.P」でソロデビュー。
97年に発表したファースト・ソロ・アルバム『ミニ・スカート』はオリコン初登場4位。
スウェディッシュ・ポップ的な音楽性と、ファッションを含めた本人のキャラクターが大きな注目を集める。
その後も順調にアルバムをリリースしながら、ショコラや加藤紀子、HIROMIX、フェイ・ウォンらへの楽曲提供、プロデュースやCM音楽なども手掛ける。
2006年06月に2年ぶり7枚目のアルバム『ニュー・プリティ』をリリース。

これまでのカジ君に無かった"NEW"リズムと、カジ君サウンドのきらめく"PRETTY"感が融合されて、まったく飽きさせない曲作りに脱帽☆☆☆＆トキメキ☆☆です。
意図してかどうかは分かりませんが、１〜３曲目のヴォーカルが、若干荒削りかも？・・・なのが気になる方は気になるかもですが、私は（歌詞の意味的に）そういう意図かな〜と解釈しています。

かつては渋谷系を代表するアーティストだった元ブリッジのベースの作品です。
このアーティストを1stアルバムから買っているんですけど、今回が一番最悪の出来です。前作まであった爽快感が消え失せ、方向性もなくなった印象の作品です。今までの「カジヒデキ」像も崩壊した感もあります。歳月は残酷だなと思いました。
