【アーティストについて】
およそ10年の間、ライノセラスはエレクトロ・ビートのエネルギーとロック・ギターの激しさを混ぜ合わせることによって、独創的かつ革新的なエレクトロニカ・ロック・ミュージックを生み出してきた。
フランスの南部にあるモンペリエ出身、ジャン=フィリップとパトゥのユニットとして95年に結成。すでに４枚のオリジナル・アルバムをリリースしている。また、ヨーロッパ最大のフェスティバルのみならずアメリカや南米その他でも、ライノセラスは10年の間に総計250回を越えるパフォーマンスを行ない、爆発的なパフォーマンスで知られている。
バンド名の由来は、心理学者でもあった彼らが出会った、とある精神病の患者が書いた絵のタイトルから取ったもの。「単語が震えている感じがする！」とこの綴りをそのまま採用した。

よくこのアルバムの引き合いに出されるのが、schizophoniaというアルバム。
この２枚のアルバムを比べて気付くのは、まず名曲cubicle。
このベスト盤のcubicleは、ショートバージョンです。
CMのcubicleが好きだ！というかたはschizophoniaをお奨めします。
でもこのショートバージョン、非常によくできていて
CMから入ったファンを”騙す”ことができます。（いい意味で）
二つ目は、インストゥルメンタル（曲だけ）が多いということ。
しかしこの曲がヤバイです。
ドラマ、バラエティー、報道番組などで使われる予感バリバリです！
インストゥルメンタル以外の曲は、ほとんがschizophoniaから選ばれた
曲です。
それぐらいschizophoniaもすばらしいアルバムだということです。
お金に余裕があるなら両方買うのもアリだと思います。

フランス出身のエレクトロ・ロックデュオ。
既に４枚のアルバムをリリースしている
活動歴１０年以上のベテランコンビ。
これはその集大成とも言えるベスト盤。

とにかくムチャクチャかっこいい。

モービー先生もお気に入りで
この男女に熱を上げるのも頷ける。

ダンスミュージックが好きな方々、
ロックな方々は日頃の嫌なことを
これをヴォリュームMAXで踊り明かしてみては？

同国のタヒチ８０やフェニックスの
オシャレ度やクールさはそのままに、
さらにアッパーな極上ギターダンスPＯPを
ＦUＪＩ０６’の予習がてらにいかがなものか。

ミーハーな僕はもちろん「Cubicle」目当てに買いました。
他はまぁどうでもいいよみたいな痛々しい考えで。

で、買って再生。
びっくりしましたね。
おフランスにもこんな熱いバンドがいるのかと。

tahiti80とかの印象しかないですからね。
君の瞳に恋してるとかの印象しか。


そしてこんなに熱くてクールで、汗臭くない、オトナのロックは初めてです。

後半のやや長尺な曲もとても魅力的です。
飽きません。キャリア10年、さすがに深いです。


本当の意味でありとあらゆるロックリスナーの方に聴いてほしいですね。
