SONYのイヤフォンの中では高価格帯に入るこの品。実際買うかどうか迷っていましたが、本サイトで多くの方が評価していたので、好奇心に駆られ購入しました。

音質に関してはさすがSONY、といった印象でかなり良いです。実際装着してみるとカナル型のような圧迫感が無く、音の「こもり」のない綺麗な音が出ていました。
一番印象に残ったのはボーカル（特に女性）の声がかなり明瞭に聞き取れるという事です。
密閉型・・・とは正直言えない形状で多少音漏れ（電車内では少し気を使います）する感はありますが、大音量で無ければ問題ないレベルです。。
でもやはり音漏れを気にする方はShureの高遮音性イヤフォンなどを選択する方が良いのかもしれません。
あとはコードの短さが玉に瑕ですね。延長コードありますけど長すぎますし・・・

少し値は張りますが価格に見合った性能で損をする事はまず無いと思います。

ウォークマンに繋いで1年になりますが、大変満足しています。

癖のない高音質。
クラシック・ジャズ・R＆B・ヒップホップ辺りを鳴らしていますが、
ジャンルを問わず水準以上の音です。
中高音は伸びやかで、低音もしっかりしていて、
鼓膜を無理やり震わすような、不自然な感じがありません。
1年経った今でもよく鳴るなあーと思う時があります。

音漏れの指摘がありますが、確かにこれまで使った
密閉型のイヤホンより漏れます。
でも構造を一目見てわかるのですが、
開発側も百も承知で、音質を取ったなあという気がします。
といっても、常識的な音量なら電車内でも支障ないかと。

これで8000円弱なら絶対安いと思います。

会社の同僚に音が素晴らしく良いと勧められていたのですが、音漏れの話を耳にしてからちょっと躊躇していました。そこで、同僚のを借りて電車の中で実験してみました。
iPod 60G でストーンズの「Rough Justice」を山手線の中で同僚に聴いてもらい、どのくらい近づいたら音漏れが聞こえるか確認しました。ボリュームは60％くらいです。ちょっと大きな音で聴いている感じです。音漏れに関しては意地悪な選曲だと思います。シャカシャカ聞こえる筈です。
結果ですが、１ｍ以上離れると鳴っていることが分かっていても聞こえません。真横に立つと、まあ鳴っていることは分かります。椅子に座った場合は両隣の人には気配りが必要だと思います。
また、耳から外した場合や耳にしっかり嵌めてない場合は、かなり大きく聞こえます。
参考に、ビギンの「涙そうそう」ではすぐ横でもぜんぜん気になりませんでした。ボリュームを40％程度にした場合はストーンズでも注意して耳を傾けないとわからない程度でした。
私の結論は、電車の中でも音量に気をつければ使用可、音質の良さと価格を天秤にすると購入の価値あり、皮製のケースが「高級品を買った」というささやかな満足をくれそう、ということで購入決定です。
