不可能とは知りつつも待ち続けた『まりちゃんズ』の再結成。
形は違えども、期待を遥かに超えた作品で再び我々の前に現れた。
当然ライブも見に行かせていただきましたが、正直言って心の底から
笑ってしまったライブは他にありませんでした。
中には当然付き合いで来ている若い方々もおりましたが、その方々
の方が爆笑している様子を見て不覚にもうれし泣きしました。
曲は以前のようなやけくそ気味な所はありませんが、我々には共感の連続、ヤング（古い？）には新鮮な受け取られ方をしていたようです。
注目してます。

　昨年冬のデビュー・マキシ・シングル「よろけた拍子に立ち上がれ」に続く　セカンド・シングルで、マキシにも収録されていた「娘よ（ショート・ヴァージョン）」の再録音です。ライブで繰り返す度に歌詞が増えて長くなっていってましたが、ついにここに完全版としてリリースされました。
　もともと「ショート」といいながら6分近かったこの名曲ですが、いつの間にか12分以上になって、ついでに、おかしさも倍増してます。
　なお9月にリリースされる初アルバム収録のヴァージョンは「ディレクターズ・カット版」と表記されているので、また別テイクなんでしょう。ケチを自認するお二人ですから、両方買えということでしょうかね。
　今思えば、まりちゃんズ時代にシングルとアルバムが別テイクだったのも、その辺が理由だったんでしょうか・・・。

主人がドラッグストアで買い物をしているときに店内に流れていて足が止まったそうです。いろいろ調べてその曲が「娘よ」であることを突き止めて買いました。ストーリーがとても面白いです。（自分とは関係のないところで繰り広げられるものであっるから？）
