実はたった二日前に初めて聞きましたが、早くもめちゃくちゃ好きになりました！

ここまでのいきさつは・・・ジャケが良いとのネット情報から購入→ジャケやメンフィス〜に感動→翌日早くもＵＫオリジ購入→音やアルバムのすべてに感動・・・といった流れです。

もうメンフィスの道がめっさカッコいい！最後のギターとサックスの絡み合いとかホント震えました！個人的にAll the way from Memphisの掛声がたまらないです。
で、これだけ良かったらただの商業アルバムですがこれにとどまらずどの曲も平均以上で、まだ二日だというのに4回はフル再生してます。ブギにバラードに最高に好きです！

それとジャケですよ。プラスチックシートから内ジャケが見えるという凝ったもの。それに内袋再現ともうこれ以上何がある？ってくらいの出来。相変わらずソニーの紙ジャケへの愛情の深さには頭が下がります。

まだ前後作は聞いてませんが間違いなく好きになるでしょう。でも最高傑作はこのアルバムで変わらないと思います。ジャケに内容にめちゃくちゃ素晴らしいアルバムです！絶対買い！損はしないことを保障します！

前作の「すべての若き野郎ども」で語られることの多いモット・ザ・フープルのこのアルバムが、どれくらいの知名度があるのか分からないけれど、本作、そして次作にあたるラスト・アルバムは最も彼ららしさが出た傑作アルバムだと思う。ハード・ロックの一歩手前で留まっているかのような、やさぐれロックンロール・バンド・・・そんなイメージが彼らにはあるんだけど、何となく日本人に受けそうな哀愁のようなものを強く感じるメロディが、ダサさの一歩手前で輝いている印象がある。前作が日中の光なら本作は夕日のような感じかも。
ピアノをベースにしたご機嫌なロックンロールながらひたすら重い１．一変して哀感漂うギターのリフが印象的な２．はかなりの名曲。３．も哀愁のハード・バラード。４．はちょっと明るめのロックンロールで一瞬ハッとする良い曲・・・とラストまでひたすらハードに人懐っこいメロディをぶっきらぼうに、かつドラマティックに歌い込んでいくイアン・ハンターの全盛期の記録。無敵かもしれません。キーボードは本作からモーガン・フィッシャーに代っており、彼の貢献の高さも良く分かります。

このバンドはいい曲も作るけど毒があって味わいがある魅力的なバンドです。特にこの「革命」はポップな曲にハンターならではのグラマラスな仕掛けが施されており、またフープル流のバラードもあり、と「ロックンロール黄金時代」と並ぶフープルの傑作です。
紙ジャケの作りもオリジナルを再現されており、最新リマスターですので音のクオリティも高いです。
