『TAKUI』から『中島卓偉』になって初めてのアルバムです。

TAKUI時代の1stアルバムからずっと聴いていたのですが、
彼の曲（＆声）はグイグイと力強く引っ張っていくような、
そんな印象のものが多かったような気がします。
ロック、パンクというジャンルに当てはまる感じでしょうか。
中島卓偉に改名する頃から今までと違う、優しい曲を歌うようになり、
「おや？」と思って、正直、今回のアルバムは買うか否か悩んでいました。
ですが、買って良かったと思っています。

今回のアルバムは今まで以上に優しく暖かく包み込むような印象を受けました。
歌い方も変わった気がします。自由というか、正直というか。

歌詞はTAKUI時代と変わらず響いてくるものがあり、
高音の歌声がとても心地よく耳に入ってきます。
（「メッセージ」はとても気持ち良いです）

ストレートに伝わる歌詞と歌声。じっくり聴いて下さい。お薦め。

「TAKUI」改め「中島卓偉」となっての1stアルバムです。ビジュアル面においてもガラット変化し、黒髪が印象的となりました。ここまで変わると相当な曰く付きなのでは？と思いましたが自身は「詞・曲のクレジットはずっと中島卓偉としてやってきた」「もっと世界を広げてみたかった」「等身大の自分を表現するには、本名で勝負することが必要不可欠だった」と公言している通り、そこまで過大視（TAKUIの曲はやらない、今までの様な激しいロックは作らないという憂慮）する程ではないようです。アルバムの内訳は今までのサウンドとは一線を画した楽曲が大多数ですが、出来は非常に良いと思います。サウンドの変化は勿論ですが、楽曲の提供、他アーティストとの共作など新境地を開拓しており、新たな面が聴き取れます。歌い方も今までよりも優しくソフトな印象ですし、寝る前に一聴するとリラックス出来ること必至！！歌の上手さは折り紙つきですが格段にレベルアップしており、「誰かの声」「メッセージ」のファルセットがとにかく凄いです。鳥肌ものです。歌物に徹するといっても、相変わらずのシャウトも健在ですので、「タクイ」には変わりはないと思わせてくれます。本当にどれも良い曲ばかりなので、買って絶対に損はしないです。いや、寧ろ得です!!このアルバムを聴いて何も感じるものが無いという人は可笑しいんじゃないかと思ってしまう…。この世の中、こういうアルバムが100万枚売れなければいけないのになかなか現状は厳しいですね。ビートルズのように世代を選ばず聴ける傑作ですから、卓偉さんを知らない人にも是非聴いてほしいです!!!!詞、メロディー、歌、どれをとっても最高ですから。

シングルカット曲が地味なアコースティック曲だった為、バラードだけのアルバムだと思ったのだが聞いてみるとＰＯＰな曲や歌い上げる曲が多く、バックの音は違えど結局いつものＴＡＫＵＩと変わらない歌をじっくりと聴き惚れる事が出来る作品だったので一安心。あまーい曲や後悔恋愛ソングなどが収録されているが、それは前回のアルバムからでもあるし、今更どうこう言う事でもないし批判対象にはならない。
名義をＴＡＫＵＩから中島卓偉に変えたのは音楽的な理由と踏んでいたのだが、自分が思うには
名前やバックの音楽が変わろうと俺の歌は変わらないっつーの！てなカンジの意志の様な気がしなくも無いナ。
楽曲的には井上揚水やデヴィッドボウイなど７０年代ぽい曲風だが、コレは１ＳＴでマキオズっぽい曲があったりする頃からの作風なので、何故今更？という疑問は愚問である。
まぁ、結論から言うとタクイ（あえて片仮名）のファンなら買って損は無し！
１ＳＴの音に戻れー！とか言ってる奴は他のヘビロやメタルでも聴いて下さい。
でも、タマには五月蠅い曲もやってくれよな、タクイ！
