SikThの2ndです。
相変わらずデロデロ、テロテロとギターが炸裂していますし、前作に比べて音にまとまりがあるような感じがしました。正常進化というべきでしょうか。
所々、デスメタル的な部分もありますが、曲全体としてはメロディアスになっている気がします。その分聴きやすくなっていると思われます。
マイキー・グッドマンの奇声も、前作ほどのキレッぷりは若干影を潜めたにしろ、着実にレベルアップしています。普通に、聴いていて面白いメタルだと思います。
個人的には満足です。

個人的に'06年度の断トツ1位のアルバムです＾＾。
1stも結構気に入ってたけど、
この2ndは前作を完全に忘れさせるぐらいの出来でした。

（1stがダメって訳じゃなくて
　『Dojo』でAnthraxの前座で来日した時に実際観て凄いと思った。）

Meshggah、Opeth、そしてSikth。
こういうバンドが売れてくれると良いんだけど。無理か（笑）。

3rdはどんな進化を遂げるか楽しみ。

デビュー作は将来性を感じさせながらも未消化の部分が多かったが、これは凄い。作曲能力も演奏技術も表現力も格段に高くなっており、その針路上には、おそらく、CYNICやMESHUGGAHやWATCHTOWERあたりがいるのではないかと感じさせる。音構成はそれなりにまとまってきて判りやすいような気もするが、音像そのものはむしろ複雑化しており、聴くたびに「こんな音が隠れていたのか」と驚かされてしまう。はたして、ライヴではどんなことになるのか……今、いちばん見てみたいバンドのひとつである。
