COVER ALBUMは、唄の上手な人じゃないとリリースできないと思っていましたが、本作を聴いてその意を強くしました。
本作では、のびのびと唄われている曲と、原曲に合わせて唄い方を変えている曲があったと思います。
後者の方で「いいなあ」と思ったのは、「天使のウィンク」。
原曲のイージとけんかしないように、発声の仕方をちょっとにクリアして、アクセントも押さえてるように感じました。本作の他の曲と聴き比べてみると、田岡さんのヴォーカリストの技が感じられて面白いです。
選曲もセンスよく、「はずれ」がないので、お買い得です。
浅田美代子の恐るべきオリジナルでは分からなかったのですが、「赤い風船」って「ホントいい曲だなあ」と初めて気づきました。
JPOPの好きな方、Indigoのファン、幅広く聴いていただきたい作品です。

the Indigo による邦楽カバー集。
このラインナップは市川さんの選曲なのかな？マニアック過ぎず、でも王道過ぎず、同世代
の心を気持ちよくくすぐる曲をピックアップしたな、というのが第一印象です。
例えば竹内まりやの数あるナンバーの中から「不思議なピーチパイ」を選ぶちょいトリッキー
さ加減、でも田岡さんのクリアにはずんだヴォーカルを聴くとベスト・チョイスのように感じま
すよね。
ちなみに松田聖子の曲は、このノリでいくともう少し前のナンバー（例えば「裸足の季節」とか
をモロあの時代のアレンジでやるとか）の方が足並み揃うような気がしましたが、どうでしょう。

田岡さんはご自身のブログで、JPOP のカバーは多分これでオシマイ、的なことを書いてま
したが「田岡美樹の声にはこの曲だよなー」というイマジネーションが広がりそうなナンバー、
まだいっぱいありそうだし、この一枚で打ち止めというのはちょっと惜しい気もします。
（でもカバーバンドじゃないしね、しょうがないのかな）
