引退したもののスリルに惹かれる大泥棒、安定した余生を送りたい恋人、逮捕に燃えるFBI捜査官、ダイヤを狙う島のギャングも現れて．．．。という、ありがちなストーリーではありますが、 「００７」のピアーズ・ブロスナンが泥棒になるという面白さ、サルマ・ハエックのお色気、南の島というロケーション、豪華客船とダイヤモンドと、お約束どおり。

ドタバタギャグ、敵同士の変な友情、そして、お色気。これはもう、アニメの「ルパン三世」ですね。(笑)
「ラッシュ・アワー」のブレット・ラトナー監督、ハリウッドの黄金パターンを踏襲しつつ、変化球も混ぜてくる。宣伝文句にあるような「騙しのテクニック」を楽しむ部分も多少はあるけれど、二枚目ブロスナンと、アクの強いウディ・ハレルソンとのコントラストの妙を楽しむ映画ですね。まさに、ルパン三世と銭型警部。
互いを敵と思いながらも、それぞれの計画のために近づき絡み合う二人の関係描写が、一種のバディ・ムービーとなっていく。最後はドンデン返しもちゃんとあって、まさに娯楽映画の王道ですね。

一大エンタテインメント・アクションムービー!
ってのは名ばかりで、実際はありきたりのアクションしかありません。
どちらかというとラブストーリー的な雰囲気が強く、００７を期待すると裏切られます。
カーアクションいまいち、銃撃戦いまいち、殴り合いいまいち、
盗みいまいち、な内容なのですが、
どっこいヒロインのサルマ・ハエックだけはゴージャスで美しく、
彼女のナイスバディがとことん堪能できます！！
また、共演のFBI捜査官がいい味だしてますね。
FBIの帽子をかぶって釣りをするなんて、大笑いです。
まとめてみるとアクション・ラブコメディＢ級作品ってとこでしょう。
ＤＶＤの仕様も２枚組にしなくても１枚に収まる内容です。
日本語吹き替えが２．０ｃｈっていうのも、今時どうですかねぇ？

　「トーマスクラウン」の続編が出来るらしいと聞いたけどどうやらこれがそのようです。Ｐ・ブロスナン主演に監督はＢ・ラトナーと期待は高まりましたが、何かイヤな予感もしたのも事実です。劇場に足を運ばなくて良かった、というのが正直な感想です。「トーマスクラウン」にしてもなにかテンポの良さもなくかと言って映画の世界に引きずり込む何かもなく、こういう怪盗モノは難しいのか、「オーシャンズ〜」は好評なのでチームプレイの方が良いのか、残念な出来でした。
　せっかくＰ・ブロスナンも００７で知名度アップ・作品を選べる立場になったのだから、観て良かったと言える作品に出て欲しいです。案外シリアスモノが向いてる！？
