中谷泰子はピアノもよくする歌手というか、歌もよくするピアニストと言うべきか。最新作がこれ。中谷泰子より、歌のうまい女性ジャズ歌手は何人もいるだろう。しかし、彼女のように歌を、ジャズを愛している事を、聴き手に感じさせる日本人女性歌手は少ない。心の中に「ジャズが住んでいる」のだ。そこがいい。ライヴで聴くと、もっといい。（松本敏之）

「普通のおばちゃんのカラオケコンテスト優勝者」レベルに聞こえる。ジャズ歌手としてはちょっと・・・。くせがありすぎて耳につく。試聴してから購入することをお勧めする。ジャズっぽい雰囲気を期待するかたにとって、期待はずれにならないように。
