千の風になって

「私のお墓の前で泣かないで下さい」・・・大切な人への想いを歌ったこの曲は、作者不詳の「A THOUSAND WINDS」という英詩を作家の新井満氏が日本語に訳し、曲をつけて発表したもの。様々なアーティストがバトンを繋ぐように歌っていますが、現在テノール歌手の秋川雅史が歌い、多くの人の共感を呼んでいます。

【アーティストについて】
1967年愛媛県西条市生まれ。国立音楽大学・同大学院卒業後イタリアに留学。帰国後カンツォーネコンクール第1位、日本クラシック音楽コンクール最高位をそれぞれ受賞。2004年、JOC(日本オリンピック委員会)公式応援ソング「輝け日本」の歌手として任命される。現在、最も注目を浴びる若手テノール歌手として話題を呼んでいる。

大切な人を亡くした悲しみは何年たっても、何十年たっても消えないと思います。そんな方にお勧めしたい詩（歌）です。
３０年前に母を癌で亡くしました。大学生だった私は２年間休学して母のお店の店番を兼ねて看病しました。その２年間、毎日いろいろな話を聞いて、母のすべてを知ることができました。大学生の息子である私が母の布団に入ったら、兄は本気で焼もち焼いて焼いて怒ってました。病院で母の最期を見取ることができたのも私でした。でも兄は母が外出できる体力があるうちに結婚式をあげて立派な親孝行をしました。父は母がなくなって２,３年はずいぶんお金も使って、毎晩外で飲み歩いていました。
すでに母の歳を越えてしまった私は今でも母を思うとたまらなく悲しくなります。
この詩（歌）をテレビで初めて聞いたとき、涙が出て仕方がなかった。「そうだ。母もお墓になんかいない。風になって僕の側にいる」って思ったら、優しさと温かい心がいっぱいになりました。
その後、世界中で詠い継がれ、いろんな曲がついていることを知って、また癒され、それら数え切れない人々に感謝したいと思いました。このレビューを書いた、優しい方々にもいっぱい感謝します。

今日この曲をＣＤショップで買いました。聴いた感想は命が過ぎ去っても魂は永遠に生き続けるといったメッセージを秋川さんの温かく力強い人情味のある歌声が説得力のある名曲にしていると思います。
この歌は心に残る素晴らしい名曲です。

うん、素直に感動しました。アレンジはＳ＆Ｇの「明日に架ける橋」に習った壮大なバラード定番のそれですけどね。でもそれがココロを揺さぶる！クラシック云々とかいう尺度から評価しなければいいんじゃないんでしょうか？
自分の好きなジャンル以外のＣＤを購入したのは久しぶりです。ちなみに私は紅白は観てません。
