注意:
2006/05/16 21:30現在、こちらの製品のドライバはSkypeのv2.5系には対応していないようです。現時点で入手できるv2.5のβ版にては、本製品導入状態ではSkypeを起動できないという不具合も報告されております。
正式版であるv2.0系では通常通り利用できますので、v2.5の導入は今しばらく待機することをオススメします。
:注意ココまで

ともかくまずは見た目勝負、なのですが、実は中身にもこだわっているのがイイですね。マイク部やスピーカー部は普通の電話機用のものを、さらに呼び出しベルには「ベルスピーカー」を投入して本物の呼び出しベルが鳴る、という。USB接続のみで完結するのでACアダプタなどの外部電源も不要で、余計な機能を廃したおかげで更に本物らしい風格を備えています。
口元を覆うカバーや湾曲した受話器など、古き良き時代の、そして電話における最高の音響を提供できる、古い時代のものだからこそ赦される最適な形状。そして、長電話のお供たる「カールコードのクリクリ玩び」機能を復活させる伸縮自在のカールコード。
正に、高音質を無料で長時間楽しめるSkypeには最適の機材です。
見た目に対するこだわりを満足させた後は、Skypeとの連携にも気を配っています。
受話器の上げ下げにSkypeが連動するのはもちろん、ダイアルボタンは短縮ダイアルに対応し、正に電話感覚でSkypeを使いこなせることでしょう。
出張の多いビジネスマンならノートPCと併せて、自宅に置くならリビングの共用デスクトップPCのお供に、そして、書斎における自分専用のフォーマルな電話機として、是非活用したいですね。

本体にはダイヤルをモチーフにしたプッシュ式のボタンを配置。

本体の重さは約740g、受話器部分は約300gの重さがあるので、

どっしりとした使用感があると思います。

PC本体との接続はUSB、そしてUSBバスパワーにより動作するので、

別途電源は必要ないです。

「本体にはベルスピーカーを装備。Skypeの着信音（クラシック）をリアルに表現。」

ということなのですが実際のベルではなく、

デジタルサンプリングによる電子音での着信音とのこと。

インテリアとしても、オサレだと思います。
