なんか・・・聴いてると幸せな気分になるアルバムです。確かにコールドプレイの３ｒｄような壮大さはないけど、日常生活にあるさりげない幸せを見つけた時なような感じになるっていうか。良質なメロディーが心に沁みます。僕はコールドプレイよりこっちの方が好きです。彼らの音楽って退屈な瞬間が結構あるけど、このアルバムはそういうのがないんだよね。ロングヒットしてるのも納得です。

USAバンドに有りがちな、強制的盛り上がり（それはそれで良いのですが）コードと一線を画した、ジワッと入ってくる楽曲の数々。少しダウンしている時に聞くとすごく心がほぐされます。UKバンドの中でもスコットランドとアイルランド出身のメンバーとの事で、楽曲の肌触りが優しく、聞いていて心がナチュラルシフトに入って行きます。他のバンドと比較すべきものではないでしょう。2000年代にこんなナチュラルなバンドがメジャーで売れている事が嬉しく思います。アル・スチュワートやマイクオールドフィールドを思い出します。

このアルバム中最大のヒット曲である3. Chasing Cars目的で買いましたが、アルバム全体の完成度の低さにあきれるほどでした。
どこかの紹介文で、こんな文を見かけました。
「コールドプレイの背中が見えてきた！」
今のままでは、影も見えません。それは、Cold Playのアルバム1作品全体の完成度が、とても高いからです。
Snow Patrolの1stアルバムは、まあまあの出来でしたが、このアルバムは（極端な言い方をすれば）3. Chasing Carsだけが売りなのです。
正直、おすすめはできません。
