あの90年代のベストということで期待したが、結果は散々だった。
全体のバランスを崩し、ボーカルだけが強調される。曲の細部にまでこだわっていたアレンジが消え、非常に貧弱に感じる。

質のいい音楽や、洋楽を愛聴されている方なら分かるだろうが、最高のボーカルというのは、最高の楽曲があって更に際立つのではないだろうか？
何かひとつ優れたものがあれば良い訳ではない。
全ての質が高かったからこそ、90年代のアルバムは素晴らしいのである。

矢沢氏がボーカルを聴いて貰いたいという気持ちは分かるが、あんなのでは逆に曲そのものを聴く気になれない。
まあ、そもそも90年代の矢沢の楽曲を、他人がリミックスを加えて良くなるという方が無理な話か……。

どうせベストを聴くなら、既存のORIGINALやE.Y70's〜E.Y90'sを聴くか、アルバムを全部集めた方がよほど健全だ。

結局、今作は前作「ONLY ONE」に続く、駄作3部作としての烙印を押さなければならないようだ。
オリジナルを超えるのは、本人の行うライヴ以外にはないというのは、やはり間違いないようだ……。

今年のアルバムには期待したいものである。

今月ＡＮＡに搭乗すると、機内オーディオで“矢沢永吉スペシャル”と題して、矢沢本人のインタビューと合わせて『YOUR SONGS1』が全曲聴けます。往復の機内で合計３度聴きましたが、本人も言ってるように全曲Mix Downして音質最高！ボーカル最高！本当にカッコよかったです。今まで特にファンではなかったけど、これ聴いてファンになりました。

厳しい評価も多いようだが、初心者には強くお薦めできる。
私の経験でも仕事等で疲れた時やもうひと頑張りが必要な時には聴いてテンションを上げるのには最適。
このアルバムの中では、9曲目の「GET UP」が特にお薦めです。
