名盤！全体のイメージは暗く頽廃的だが、サウンドとしてはダークからポップまで振り幅が大きく、キャッチーなメロディーも多い。鋭くてひねくれたサウンド。スージーの、呪詛的であったり何かに憑かれたような興奮を見せつつエロティックにしてスカッと明快なボーカルはカリスマ的。毒気があり狂気を感じさせる歪んだ詩世界はアーティスティック。
「HONG KONG GARDEN」はアジア的でエキゾチックな旋律、キャッチーなメロディー、飛び跳ねるような陽気さが、猥雑さ・喧騒・神秘性の入り混じった詩と交錯し、独特の高みに達する。
「JIGSAW FEELING」この曲に一聴き惚れしてすっかりファンになってしまった。軽快で聞きやすいのに、それでいて意識がグルグル回るような気持ち悪さがある。
「CARCASS」は聞きやすくノリやすい。ポップで陽気な曲調とグロテスクで官能的な詩の落差がイカレてる。ぶっ飛んだ熱狂。最高！
「METAL POSTCARD」はスージーの跳ね上がるような妖艶で狂った歌い回しが映える。
「SUBURBAN RELSPSE」はどんどん壊れていく演奏・歌に圧倒される。
「SWITCH」は抑え目の演奏・歌に徐々にたぎっていく情念…鈍く暗くのたうつような展開をはさんだ後ドラマチックな高まりを見せる。胸を締め付けられる。

いやぁーーこの『香港庭園』再発は嬉しいですね！
昔、ﾎﾟﾘﾄﾞｰﾙがｽｰｼﾞｰの１stｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ『The Scream』にﾃﾞﾋﾞｭｰ･ｼﾝｸﾞﾙの「香港庭園」をﾎﾞｰﾅｽﾄﾗｯｸとして入れた編集盤がこの『香港庭園』なんですが、
まさか『The Scream』の再発ではなく、『香港庭園』という形での再発をしてくれるなんて夢にも思いませんでしたよ！
しかも、また新たなﾎﾞｰﾅｽﾄﾗｯｸも付くということでこれは絶対に買いでしょう！
