ボサノヴァをあえて歌わなかった彼女が、代表作といえる数々の曲を歌い上げているという意外性に対する驚きよりも、彼女に染み込んでいるボサノヴァの世界に広がりを感じ、こういうことだったのかと納得させらされる説得力を持ったアルバムです。

これがボサノヴァです。
これがとても自然なんです。

歌とメロディーがナラの世界へゆっくりと導いてくれます。

以前に比べてずいぶん量が増えてきたボサノヴァ・コーナーの中でも、お気に入りの一枚。元タイトル「十年後」のこのアルバムを聴き、ナラがボサノヴァに帰ってきてくれて本当に良かったなぁ...としみじみ感謝。聴くたび感涙。明るい曲でもどこか漂う憂鬱さ、Saudade。内容を知らなくても思わずジャケ買いしそうなジャケットがまた魅力的。

1960年代の音楽シーンを代表する音楽ジャンルが「ボサ・ノヴァ」でした。
ただ、「美しきボサ・ノヴァのミューズ」と称えられたナラ・レオンの存在は当時日本では無名だったと思います。60年代の日本では、セルジオ・メンデスとブラジル66の爆発的な人気に始まり、アストラッド・ジルベルト、ジョアン・ジルベルト等が有名になりました。
本作でも参加しているアントニオ・カルロス・ジョビンも有名ですが、それらの影に隠れるようにナラ・レオンの存在を後から知りました。

でも、彼女の歌声が一番ステキです。少しけだるいような歌声がまたいいですね。リズムがとても軽やかで、言葉が音符にそのままのっているような歌唱が「ボサ・ノヴァ」そのものだと感じました。ささやくようなつぶやきが独特の雰囲気を醸し出しています。

「ワン・ノート・サンバ」、「イパネマの娘」、「コルコヴァード」、「ジザフィナード」、「メディテーション」など彼女の代表曲でもあり、ボサ・ノヴァの名曲が数多く収録されています。

ナラ・レオンの歌声の魅力が十二分に感じられるアルバムですので、オススメします。
