このアルバムに限った事ではないが、中森明菜さんの歌の世界は奥深い。
詞・曲・編曲だけでなく、彼女の「声」だから作ることができた作品ではないだろうか。
この時期・この声質・この歌い方・・・・まさにこの時にしか作ることの出来ない曲の数々。

「悲しい」ではなく「哀しい」、「苦しい」のではなく「切ない」
全体的に「哀愁」という言葉が思い浮かぶアルバムでもある。

　タイトルどおり、「ＣＲＵＩＳＥ」するのにピッタリな、スタイリッシュなアルバムです。特にＢ面（と敢えて言わせていただきます）。「風は空の彼方」〜「ＳＩＮＧＥＲ」の流れが絶妙！
　しかし例の事件直後にリリースされたということで、当時複雑な心境で聴いたのを思い出します。

当時、香港の歌姫、サンディ・ラムが取り上げてた「都会で生きる女」をテーマにした明菜の14thアルバムにして、ワーナー最後の作品。全編ジャジーでアダルトな味わい。当時、「明菜最後のアルバム」とキャプションがあったが、次のアルバムが出るまでにこの後四年かかるのであります。「LIAR」はシングルとは別ミックス。
