凄いです。
きっと、これ、同時代的には、やることが新しすぎたんですよ。
地の底または別の次元から声が聞こえてくるかのような不思議さというか不気味さを体験できる。
ゴシック系の極致みたいな…。そんな感じです。
同じ曲でも「WONDER」とは歌い方が違いますね。
あっちは、明菜さんが呟き系の歌唱が上手くできるようになってきた時期に、
機械的な処理をしなくてもサウンドに溶け込むように本人が歌自体をそーっと歌った感じですが
このCDだと、かなり分厚い声で大げさにビブラートかけて歌ってるところに機械的な処理をしてます。
が、それによって、所々で聞こえてくる「ぁぁぁ〜〜」の不気味な感じが良い味出していて、
これはこれで最高です。

発売当時は本当にいろいろと騒がれていたアルバム。
確かにボーカル部分が聞こえにくく、歌詞を見ないと時々分からなくなることもある。
が、何度か聴くうちに逆に、その聴こえづらさが良くなってくる。
このほうが良かったと思えるほどに。

後に、ボーカル部分を表に出し、アレンジを少し変えた「ＷＯＮＤＥＲ」が発売されたが、私はこの「不思議」の壮大さの方が好きである。

　ファンの皆さん誰もが認めるであろう大問題作かつ大傑作です。
　声を楽器の一つと見立てたコンセプト、今までの明菜さんの作品にはなかったサウンド、明菜さんとは思えない声色、ジャケット写真、それらの全てから醸し出される独特の雰囲気。
　きっとスタッフからは大反対されたことでしょう。決して売れ線ではないので。でもやり通した明菜さんに脱帽です。
　約２０年経った今でも色褪せない、真のアーティストのアルバムです。
　今回のＣＤ再発を機に、再評価されて欲しいです。
