【あらすじ】

もう20年も前の作品なんですね。たしかこの作品を観てから、マイケルダグラスの他の作品も観るようになったと思います。ニックとチャーリーの日本滞在中の世話役・松本警部補（高倉健）との関係が、徐々に国境を越えた男の友情に発展していくストーリー展開にとても共感しました。ヤクザである佐藤（松田優作）をニューヨークから護送してきた日本の舞台が東京じゃなく、大阪というのもいいですね。

けっこう賛否両論あるもんですね。僕は普通にいいと思いました。なんつっても優作の遺作ですからね。
彼の日本人離れした部分、それと健さん演じる警部補マツモトマサヒロ、この対比がとても面白く感じられました。どちらも凄く気合い入ってます。アメリカ勢を食っちゃうぐらいの勢いです。ただ、飄々としたニューヨーカーのガルシアも大好きなんですけどね。
個人的にブラックレインの音楽って、血が騒ぐんです。20年前、優作の死を、出勤途中のキオスクで見た、あの時の衝撃が何故かシンクロして蘇ってくるのです。

リドリースコット監督の作品だが、さすがなだけあって、単なるアクション映画ではない。俳優人がすばらしいだけにとどまらず、それぞれの持ち味が十分すぎるほど発揮されており、素晴らしいの一言に尽きる。マイケル･ダグラス、アンディ･ガルシアの二人が素晴らしいのはもちろん、松田優作、高倉健の存在感が凄い。主役を食う勢いだ。よき日本人の警官らしい実直さを演じる高倉健の演技は素晴らしく、また想像以上に英語を何の苦も無く話す姿は驚嘆だ。
また、不気味なやくざを演じる松田優作。彼の演技の不気味さ、アクションシーンの凄さも際立っている。
タイトルの『ブラック・レイン』は日米関係の暗い部分を映し出している。
撮影のほとんどが、日本というのも驚きで、よくこれだけ日本を中心に描いたものだと思う。
全編通じて悲壮感が漂う映画だが、驚きと素晴らしさに満ちている。
