ジャズでもトランペットのイメージはハード バップなスタイルでわけわからないソロが延々と続いてどうも試聴してもやっぱりわかんないとなりそうですね。こちらクリス・ボッティのアルバムはそんな観念拭い取ってくれます。アルバムそのままBGMにして下さい。オープニングからラストまで映画のように流れます。彼のトランペットは揺さ振ったりせず、ほのかに照らされる間接照明のよう。一幕に代わる代わるシンガーが現れます。中には聞いた声だとはっとしたり。こんなスタンダードは洒落てると思います。

まあまあ・・・
これをジャンルで言うと「スムース・ジャズ」と言うらしいけど、ホンマこんなんもありやねんね・・・。
皆が知ってるスタンダードナンバーが中心で、ヴォーカリストもまた有名人（まぁ、バラエティに富んどるよ）。
これを、「良くない」とは言えんやろ・・。
加えて、個人的にやけどトランペットがスキなんよね（この人はトランペッター）。

文句ナシ！！
でも、あまりに予想通りの内容で「エエねんけど」星三つやな。

アルバム　first wish からファンです。
がナイトセッション以降のコマーシャル路線から一時遠ざかっていましたが又スタンダードな路線に戻りつつありファン再開。

ナイトセッション以降きっと優秀なへアメークさんがきちんとセットしたであろうトレンディな髪形のアルバム写真のクリスは素敵だけどルックスがいいのを利用され音楽はコマーシャル路線に転向でソニーのメジャー化路線が鼻についてやで彼本来のよさが薄まっていくのを寂しく感じていたのですが。

このアルバムで又方向を修正しつつあるのかなぁと嬉しく思っておる一ファンです。
スタンダードとは古いとかでなく普遍性のもの。いつ聞いても飽きることなく心が揺さぶられる音楽。

キャッチーなナンバーは楽曲命だけどもクリスボッティの微妙で繊細はブロウやタメはスタンダードでこそ生きるのでは。（他の人には出来ない！）


去年ブルーノートの最前列でライブ見ました。
えかった〜。。。このアルバムでのベストトラック　Good Morning Heartache　女性ボーカルなしでも十分いい。

これからも彼についていこうと思ったのでした。

これだけルックスが良過ぎるのだからコマーシャルに扱われても仕方ないのかなぁ・。とは生クリスを見た感想。格好いいのもよし悪しですな。

ここ最近のお供キーボードのクリス・チャイルドもライブで一緒に見ましたが◎。
