もともとが一度クリアすればよいという内容のものではなく、いかに毎日続けられるかがポイントという種類のゲームソフトであるため、ユーザーを飽きさせない工夫が重要になると思うが、その点で前作には不満が残ったし、ニンテンドーＤＳ版と比較して物足りなさを感じた。

しかし今回はその点で非常に工夫されているのが評価できる。
問題数、バリエーション、出題方式などが豊富になり、何度トライしても次の目標を保ちつづけられる。

また過去からの実績推移をグラフで視覚化できることから、達成感も味わうことができる。

今回のバージョンはニンテンドーＤＳ版と比較しても遜色ないのではないか。
価格も前作から据え置きでありお買い得感も数段高い。

まだ脳力トレーナーをお持ちでない方には前作より是非この「２」をお勧めしたい。

ＤＳトレーニングと比較して評価の低かった脳力トレーナー．．．
しかし、この２では、前作にはなかった脳年齢チェックができるようになったほか、トレーニングには、計算、反射、判断、記憶それぞれに前作を遥かに上回る問題バリエーションがあります。模擬試験も、総合、ジャンル、連続正解、制限時間、タイムトライアルと分けられた上にそれぞれ三段階の難易度が設定されました。
そして、何と言っても、この脳力トレーナー２を特徴付けているのが、世界を８つの地域に分け、各地を巡って様々な問題に挑んでいくチャレンジ。各地の問題に文字通りチャレンジしていき、全世界を制覇した後には成績に応じて「脳ベル賞」のトロフィーが授与されます。金の脳賞、銀の脳賞、能力バリバリ賞、各地域・各分野の優秀賞（問題を中断して何度もやり直すと「ずるっこ賞」などという賞が授与されたりもします）などのトロフィーをコレクションする楽しみは、前作にはなかったゲーム的要素と言えるでしょう。
ＤＳトレーニングの場合、これまで出ている２つのソフトに収められている問題はそれぞれ全く別のものですが、脳力トレーナーについては、２が前作の進化型となっているため、どちらを買うか迷われている方にはこの２をお勧めします。

脳力トレーナーポータブルの続編。
前作に足りなかったものを追加して、ブラッシュアップして帰ってきた。

１．ボリューム：問題形式が格段に増加している。
２．バリエーション：試験が充実し毎日同じ事をやらせられている作業感が軽減。
３．やりこみ要素：脳ベル賞なるトロフィー集めという収集要素を追加して何回でもプレーできるように。

ここまで、改良された続編も珍しいくらい充実しています。
