　2時間半ありますがテンポがいい。要所要所での音楽と相まって非常に見やすく、そして話に引き込まれます。
終盤、いろんな場所での出来事が同時進行してしっかり見てないと分かりにくくなりそうなところもあったけど、緻密に構成されておりこれがまたおもしろい。
　守秘義務を犯して弁護士としての自分を犠牲にして悪を摘発するべきか否か、悩んだ末トムが選んだ解決法にはなかなかよい鑑賞後感が残りました。

　若き日の情熱あふれるトム、悪徳弁護士のジーン・ハックマン、FBI捜査官のエド・ハリスなどそれぞれ魅力ある役者が揃ってます。
（あと悪役側のヒットマンの一人、SAWのジグソウでした。最近見たので気づいたのですが。目つき怖いです。）

　安心してオススメできる一本。はらはらどきどきしながら見てください。

　この映画、上映時間は結構長いものの時間の長さを感じさせないものでした。若き弁護士が所属した謎の法律事務所。実はその事務所は、裏仕事専門だった、という内容でＴ・クルーズが孤軍奮闘します。ＦＢＩ捜査官役のＥ・ハリスもスキンヘッドにして貫禄充分。事務所の所長のＧ・ハックマンも存在感大有りでした。そして脇役ながらＧ・ビジーの私立探偵役も結構儲け者の役どころでした。あの灰色の髪の殺し屋も恐かったです。ＢＧＭも終始ピアノが中心でそれがまた後半スリリングな効果がありました。Ｓ・ポラック監督の手腕が発揮されていました。
　ただ主人公があれだけやって何のお咎めなしというところは、いかにもハリウッド的かなと思いました。

何とも変てこエンディング。
正義は、何処に。

延々と続いたストーリーは何なんだ。
まるで、マフィアの勝利の賛歌。
馬鹿馬鹿しいかぎり。

所詮、ハリウッドは、マフィアの巣窟か。
